FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CSA Vouchers are a less traditional, but more convenient way to participate in Community Supported Agriculture.  When you purchase a voucher, you are helping our little farm get the season started by providing for seed, labour, and other expenses we have when getting our crops in the ground, and eventually to you.  Essentially, the voucher is a pre-paid credit that you can use to get your produce, while helping to support our farm.  you also get 10% of your voucher amount free! if you buy a voucher in the amount of $400 for example, you pay $400...but you receive a credit of $440 ($40 extra).  When you make a order from our online store, or shop at any of our market locations, indicate that you wish to pay with your CSA voucher, and the amount will be deducted from your credit. You will be notified weekly of your remaining balance. CSA vouchers never expire, and can be purchased at any time. 

LETHBRIDGE: We will "restock" our store each SUNDAY with the updated items available for purchase. We will accept orders SUNDAY through WEDNESDAY for pick-ups & deliveries that week (SATURDAY).  WEDNESDAY-SATURDAY will be closed to orders (except CSA Vouchers) to allow us to prepare them).  

• Go to the online store and add any items you wish to include in your order. You can shop all product categories and/or use the search bar to find specific items you are looking for.  
• When you are finished your order, choose your payment option (based on the available payment types for your SPECIFIC location). these include online payment (PAYPAL/credit card), CSA Voucher (if there is a voucher in your order or you have previously purchased a voucher, we will deduct the order from your voucher balance), and payment on pick-up cash & Interac (currently only at select locations, but more available in the coming weeks).  You can also pay by e-transfer to info@fitrfarm.ca
• at this time, you also choose whether you will have your order delivered ($5 fee) or pick it up. if you choose delivery, be sure to include your address and contact information, so we can notify you when your order is on its way/delivered.  If you choose pick up, be sure to put in the ORDER NOTES which pick up location you wish to get your order (lethbridge west, lethbridge south or london road).  Please indicate which location have chosen, so we know where to send your order. Orders will be available at the given places and times indicated for your location.  WE WILL NOT MESSAGE YOU THAT YOUR ORDER IS READY FOR PICK-UP, IT WILL JUST BE AT YOUR CHOSEN LOCATION IN THE TIME WINDOW PROVIDED.

As a local small-scale farm, we source our produce as we like to say "from our fork to yours".  This means that whatever we have available and in season on our farm will be listed in the store. We also work with other Alberta farms & businesses to provide a wider variety of produce and other unique items (Mans Organics, Busy Beas Organics, Planet Wrap, All Clean, Teff & Greens etc.).  This helps to build our farm community and local economy, and ensures that support for local food contributes to food security and an amazing connection to the food we eat.  Thanks to our partnership with Walkers Own Produce, we also have access to AMAZING B.C. fruit that we are proud to include in the online store.  Lastly, we work with So Fresh Produce, which is a Calgary owned business that imports primarily organic produce and other favourite items that are not currently in season or cannot be grown so close to home (avocadoes, ginger, bananas, mangoes etc.)  The inclusion of these items also serves to support our farm as their sale allows us the ability to grow even more local food for you to enjoy.  It provides additional variety in the off seasons, and adds complimentary items to our veggie line-up when we are flush with local produce.  Product descriptions will indicate AB, BC, or Canada grown to let you know which items are currently local.  If you have any questions about specific items, just ask...we are happy to answer any questions and believe honesty & transparency are key.
